About

Northern California ERA

Electronics Representatives Association, (ERA), is an international trade organization of qualified professional manufacturers' representative firms. The international organization is made up of local chapters throughout the United States and the world. Each Chapter is defined by its exclusive geographic territory. ERA works to promote, protect and enhance the multiple-line rep function and our members' unique system of synergistic selling. ERA acts as the worldwide conduit across the electronics industry for manufacturers seeking professional field sales firms to sell their products. ERA also serves as a resource for electronics and high-technology industries.

The Northern California Territory, as defined by the Electronic Industry Association's Unit Territory Plan, is Territory No. 29 stretching from Central California to the Oregon border including Northern Nevada:

Northern California bounded on the south by the Counties of Monterey, Kings and Tulare, inclusive, and on the east by the Counties of Tulare, Fresno and Mono, inclusive 932-966; northern Nevada bounded on the south by the Counties of Mineral, Churchill, Lander, Eureka and White Pine, inclusive 893-895, 897-898.

Our nearly 50 Rep firm members employ 600+ professionals and represent over 1,000 manufacturers.

The Northern California Chapter is one of the largest and most active in the ERA. Our activities encompass education, training and abundant networking opportunities to interface with reps, distributors and manufacturers to discuss issues and solve problems. Technical and managerial programs are offered as a benefit to member firms.

Our programs have been recognized by the National Board of the ERA and resulted in numerous awards. We were presented the prestigious Chapter of the Year on several occasions.

Networking is a major benefit for every organization. The well-attended bi-monthly evening meetings allow our members to interact and exchange ideas. We often have interesting guest speakers covering various topics such as Economics, Legal Issues, New Business Trends and other pertinent topics.

The Local Chapter helps our professional members maintain their sharp edge with services, programs and benefits that enhance their knowledge and expertise. Examples are professional seminars, business and sales training, regional trade shows, the ERA Newsletter, and much, much more.
